LITTLE LITTLE BRINGS A LOT TO THE HOLIDAYS

By Merlin Douglass

This is the year of pop up markets, seemingly spontaneous, short term events featuring local artists and makers whose work is hard to find under normal circumstances. With major disruptions in the world of goods distribution, this holiday season may be their time to shine.

Downtown Beaverton has its very own pop up market coming the Saturday following Thanksgiving, November 27, at Little Little Art Co., 4655 SW Watson.  Little Little itself is brand new, open only a week as of this writing but, ambitious shop owner, Marisa Thompson (Misa to her friends), says she’s starting off with a pop up party.  She has invited 20 creatives with work ranging from baking, clothing, prints, pottery and more to set the stage for festive gift giving.  The work will represent artists normally featured in the gallery as well new, previously unavailable works and producers.

This is the first pop up market of the season for Little Little though four more are planned. Check Thompson’s instagram account, @littlelittleartco, for additional dates.
