    Versa-Style Street Dance Company—an ensemble of skilled, diverse Los Angeles–based dancers and educators—brings the vibrant energy of West Coast Hip Hop to the concert stage. Celebrating their 20th anniversary, the company will perform their newest work highlighting LA-born street-dance styles. Founded in 2005 by Jackie “Miss Funk” Lopez and Leigh “Breeze-Lee” Foaad, Versa-Style honors the roots and evolution of Hip Hop while promoting diversity, equity, and community empowerment. Through extensive outreach and education, they uplift emerging artists and marginalized communities. Known for their dynamic musicality and multidisciplinary artistry, Versa-Style has toured internationally and appeared at major U.S. venues including The Joyce Theater and Jacob’s Pillow. Versa-Style’s newest uplifting and stirring full-length work, Tribute: Guardians of Street Dance, interlaces the company’s two decades of artistic and community evolution with a vibrant acclamation of Los Angeles and West Coast Hip Hop dance culture.     Leading the way in the use of Rhythm. HealthRHYTHMS® is a research-based group drumming program developed over 20 years ago through the interdisciplinary collaboration of experts in Neuroscience, Music Therapy, and Recreational Music Making. Saturdays, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM February 28 March 7 March 14 March 21 Drums will be provided. If you prefer to use a personal instrument, you are welcome to bring a small percussion item like a djembe, frame drum, or shaker. Individual classes: $25/$20 for Seniors A signed waiver is required to attend classes. Our facilitators do their best to keep the volume of the drumming experience at a decibel that is enjoyable and soothing. Please feel free to bring protective covering for the ears of those in your party who may be sensitive to louder sounds. Drums will be provided.
