About the Committee:
The Design Committee supports our mission through projects intended to preserve and promote the historic structural elements of our historic downtown area within the context of urban renewal projects designed to prevent physical deterioration.
For example, the Design Committee has affixed plaques to eight historic downtown structures describing the historic significance of these structures. In addition, the Design Committee has facilitated communication between the City of Beaverton and the public with respect to the City’s Broadway Streetscape Improvements Project.
Monthly Meeting: 2nd Tuesday of every month, 11:30 AM, at Office of Stewart Straus, architect, 6775 SW 111th Avenue, Suite 20, Beaverton, OR (SW 111th is about two blocks west of the Denney-217 interchange and only goes north from Denny.
